Kurta pyjama — the everyday staple
A long tunic (kurta) worn over comfortable straight or tapered trousers (pyjama or churidar). It is the most versatile piece a man can own: relaxed for a puja or family gathering, and easily dressed up with a waistcoat or jacket for a party. Shop kurtas.
Sherwani — the formal showpiece

Nehru jacket (bandhgala) — the smart all-rounder
A short, tailored jacket with a mandarin (band) collar, worn over a kurta. It instantly sharpens a look for semi-formal events, receptions and even fusion office wear. One jacket can restyle several kurtas.
Dhoti & pathani — tradition and clean lines
The dhoti is a draped lower garment for traditional and religious occasions, often paired with a kurta. The pathani (Pathani suit) is a longer kurta with matching trousers for a strong, minimalist silhouette — great when you want understated elegance.

- Wedding ceremony: a sherwani — the most formal and regal option.
- Reception: a sherwani, a sharp bandhgala suit, or a modern Indo-western combination.

Getting the fit right
Indian menswear looks its best when it is properly fitted. Two tips:
- Mind the length and shoulders. A kurta should sit cleanly on the shoulders and fall to around mid-thigh (longer for formal); a sherwani should be tailored, not boxy.
- Use made-to-measure. Many pieces can be finished to your measurements. We work with partner tailors so your sherwani or kurta fits exactly right, and we can arrange custom orders from India — plan 3–6 weeks ahead for those.
